This was my mind map or my identity map, where I wrote down some of the biggest moments or factors in my life that made me into who I am today. Then I had to connect them all with themes, so that every single one was tied to another. This helped me develop themes in my reactions to events, my approach to uncertainty, and my relationships with others. One of the most important themes that I got from this activity was that nothing is ever as life shattering as it seems. Life will go on. What may seem like a terrible experience at the time may actually be an incredible learning opportunity. My other themes were confidence and changes in perspectives on life and society. My confidence grows when I am forced to tackle situations where I feel uncomfortable and my views on the world are always changing, constantly developing as I am exposed to new materials and experiences.
